WORSLEY CC Under 11 - 2008

Our under 11 team is in the Bury & District League

Age – under 11 on 1 st September 2007 (ie: born after 1 st September 1996 ) - Played with a small size (4.75oz) cork ball.

8 players per team - 16 overs each team (shortened if weather is poor) - All players bowl apart from wicket keeper

Maximum 3 overs per bowler - Pitch is 19 yards long - Batsman bat in pairs for 4 overs

Scores – each team starts with 200 runs. Four runs are taken off the score when a wicket falls – and the batsmen change ends when a wicket falls.

Players and parents must read and obey the code of conduct. - Apart from a few words of encouragement, parents and watching players should let the players concentrate on their own participation.

Players must wear white shirts. - Players should wear briefs (not boxer shorts) - Wicket keeper and batsmen must wear helmet and box

Fielders (apart from wicket keeper and slip cordon) must field at least 11 yards from the bat.

Note: Most games are on Mondays, but some will be on other evenings and there is possibility of changing dates to suit weather and pitch availability. Results, addresses and directions to all clubs are on “Play cricket” and club websites.
