Thommo's Mop Top Chop at Local Crop Shop.

It has been threatening for several weeks now, and eventually it had to happen. After a few mishaps with his now legendary locks, Ian Thompson has eventually visited a local coiffeur.

The curly haired Australian(seen left before the haircut) has seen his bowling action suffer. The increasing weight of the hair meant he was releasing the ball with his nose just inches from the wicket. This was causing undue stress on Ian's back . However the final straw was when the tightly permed Antipodean suffered a near serious injury when one of his team mates, following Ian from the changing room accidentally trod on his locks and wrenched a couple of muscles in the unsuspecting Australian's neck.

Enough was enough and it was decided there and then that a visit to the barbers shop was next on the agenda, and as a man of his word the plucky Queenslander booked himself in for the full treatment including a manicure and an all over body wax (whatever they may be?).

After just over 4 hours in the barbers chair Ian(right) came out a new man. His 40 runs and 2 wickets set Worsley up for a fantastic win against Highfield and secure an extermely valuable 20 points. We hope this un-Samson like transformation will keep going for the rest of the season and bring many more victories.
